I know I've posted a bit about this trip, but I don't think I've mentioned the reason the NC Transportation Museum and the NC Cultural Resources are collaborating to put it on and it is a rare showing of the 1663 Carolina Charter at the Museum of the Albemarle. (Which is way more than 350 years, so I can't explain that...huh.) That document ordinarily resides in Raleigh, but I don't think it is ordinarily on public display. Anyway, this is special and that is the reason for the trip. Now, you know.
