For my birthday, I made red chili pork tamales for the first time.
The pulled pork I used was some I had smoked earlier this year. The red chili sauce was made using 4 ancho chilis, 3 guajillo chilis and 1 arbol chili. It had only mild heat.
My cake was black, both the layers and the icing. I used black cocoa powder to get the color.
